Problem with sports talk and debate shows a lot is people don’t realize they both right sometimes lol.

Shaq and Kobe wouldn’t have won if Rick fox and Robert horry didn’t step up in key moments. And certain stars never win championships until they got help with other star talent. Even the Curry & Durant warriors at the end weren’t quite as scary when their “others” retired or left for other teams.

People will only talk about the role players who deliver AFTER they win a championship. Until then they’re just role players. Shaq’s putting the cart before the horse

Others are different. GSW won the first championship also thanks to West, Livingston who were greater than most bench’ players in other teams.

The 72 win Bulls had a LOT of others. Steve Kerr,vLuc Longley…they couldn’t have won without them. Case closed.

We only talk about teams becoming contenders when they acquire superstars. “Others” are not what separates championship teams from regular playoff teams. It always comes down to the quality of play superstars can produce. KD won two championships by joining a team that already had two superstars, two of the greatest shooters ever. So that was a very bad example from Kenny.

Two thing that bug me about this show 1) Shaq acts like he didn’t play with Kobe or wade 2) they act like Kenny was good

Shaq never won anything without Kobe and D-Wade. Case and point that you need another superstar.

    Chuck dominated this debate.

You saying that if shaq was on the nuggets during his time he would’ve won championships? C’mon now, if that were true he would’ve won with Orlando.

There are different types of “others”, you can have Anthony Mackie, Darko Milicic “others” or Fred Van Fleet, Tony Kukoc “Others”.

I have to agree with Chuck. What he is saying is that you cannot win without the great players.

Everybody gotta perform, period. A superstar gotta perform at superstar level. Others gotta perform at their level.

Charles is totally right on this. Mavs and Pistons winning were anomalies. Kenny mentioned Durant… that’s a poor argument because KD didn’t win until he teamed up with Steph and Klay.
