I think the commissioner made a good point until he mentioned the shortened season as an example. That was a bad example because even though the season was shorter but there were more games played per week.

Michael Jordan played all 82 games in nine of his 14 seasons, and played in 81, 80 and 78 games in three others.

Shortening the season focuses solely on the superstars and takes away the chance of role-players/bench players to blossom into potential stardom

We can talk about this allllll we want. It ain’t happening lol. More games = more money, that’s the only math formula owners will be using on their spreadsheets or notes. Its gonna end up with NBA doing more organized designated rest days for star/key players, and penalties for any team that breaks the rule. Layout a schedule for all to see, that way its at least somewhat fair to fans so they know what they’re buying tickets for.

NFL is adding games, NBA is removing games:
1. Fans route for franchise in NFL vs fans route for players in NBA
2. “The early games in the seaso don’t matter” Things I hear in the NBA, not the NFL.
3. Any given night I turn on an NBA game.. 66% chance the best player on either team isn’t playing.
This is why the NFL has given players more money to add a game, bc they are guaranteed fans will watch. Fans could care less about regular season games, bc the players have shown they don’t really care much either at times. I mean atleast act like u care in national televised games.
