Personally I just feel like he is not a pg they put him out of his element soo much that he wasn’t really looking to score which is weird coming from gelo . My personal opinion Gelo is at his best when he has a PG that actually realizes when he is open for a shot ! Gelo is like a jr smith with a al horford body type . Which means he can get those hot streaks of shooting but only if the pg gets him the ball , instead of him being shifty he is strong and well grounded can’t be pushed around easily but he’s not a freak athlete! I say give him a good pg that looks for him and we see what the nba scout say after that the man is unconscious when he he can just focus on scoring and defending

You can tell Lavar is coaching by the style of play. I had my sound off and could tell. He’s trying to press guys that have played college and pro basketball. It’s all uncontested layups for the black team. It’s tough to press pros. Calipari and Pitino tried pressing in the NBA and that’s why they don’t coach at that level. Lavar is used to coaching high schoolers…big difference.

In 10 minutes of watching this, I saw that Gelo made some good assists, made a couple shots, and barely played defense. As far as improvements… I saw no improvements. He needs to improve more by being more aggressive offensively and attacking the basket more, getting more open shot looks, playing defense, etc…

He must work on his handling skills. It just wasn’t there this game. He seemed to lose the handles after running and dribbling a couple of bounces then he just seemed stuck. Not able to get out of situations. Crazy thing is that he has two brother’s that can help in that field. I hope he’s seeking out their assistance, because this performance was not NBA ready. Want to see him in the league, he has to keep grinding

I love Gelo but this shortcut “road to the nba shit” he’s doing is not only making his stock as a player go down but wasting time. He should have served his year suspension at ucla came back his sophomore year and killed it and then went to the draft but nope he checked out without serving his time for doing something internationally stupid (BAD LOOK). Then he goes to Lithuania and plays half a season then declares for the draft instead staying and getting more run and improving himself (bad look).
