If you could get Embiid to dedicate himself to the game 100% you’d have an actual threat in Philly. Instead, he plays at ~70-80% and is then gassed in the post-season because never took care of himself in reg-time. He has the size and the talent, he has the skills but no dedication – IMO, he’s right there with Whiteside and probably Zion as some of the biggest letdowns of the modern era of the NBA. I wouldn’t call them busts, their talent is enormous but talent only gets you INTO the league. Honing your skills, adding new plays/weapons to your repertoire, staying in shape… that’s what KEEPS you in the NBA.

The only reason why the Philadelphia 76ers did not go to the NBA Playoffs in 2020 is because Ben Simmons was injured. Ben Simmons is their point guard. Elton brand has done an excellent job assembling a great roster but without your point guard you’re not going to do well

Somebody please tell me how these analysts thought the 76ers were going to go to the NBA finals when their starting point guard Ben Simmons was injured?

Analysts unfortunately aren’t like the analysts of the 90’s that would say a team sucks now they want to be friends with players and the teams so they call anyone a contender or hence “sleeper pick” which really means this team sucks and has no shot but I don’t want to call them trash so I’ll say they’re a sleeper pick so I won’t look like I’m trashing them

They should, process is over.. should work on win now.. turning Simmons and Joel into harden and a deep deep team sounds a whole lot better than another year of early exits and disappointments

Talk about giving up too soon……

Ben Simmons is 24 and Joel Embiid is 26 and you believe after only playing together for 3 season and making the playoffs in all three they should be traded because they couldn’t win and championships under a horrible coach?

Bulls didn’t win there first championships until they got their new Coach *Phil Jackson* and Jordan was (28) and Pippin was (26). And they were the greatest duo in NBA history….. And not to mention neither Jordan or Pippin could shoot from 3 at 24 years old either.

Trade Embiid, make Al Horford your center, throw in Josh Richardson which gives 40 mil to pick up fill in the SG and PF positions with shooting (Davis Bertans/Meyers Leonard) / (Joe Harris/Justin Holiday/Fred VanVleet)

‘The process’ is a total disaster. Sixers are done because of worst contracts signed recently. They have no draft assets or tradable contracts. This will be a perennial first round exit team. POOR SIXERS FANS!!

First move should be to trade Horford+ Zhaire Smith to Mavs for Seth Curry and Felon wright. Second move should be trading Tobias for either Chris Paul or Kyle Lowry… After that move Richardson for a decent small forward (possibly get RoCo back?) Then clean up the bench a bit.
