I believe that a ‘hard economy’ is actually the best time to build if you have discipline and the right strategy. Most people spend their time complaining, but I believe in execution over excuses. We’re really acting like personal development/player development isn’t a thing.
I’m NOT saying it’s LIKELY to happen, but there should be at least a thought that perhaps Luka and/or AR will be looking themselves in the mirror in the offseason and commit to improving their defense. Start going to the weight room more, and doing drills for quickness and strength. Working on their mentality and energy on defense.
I mean, at the end of the day it’s up to the player like bro what are you willing to do to win?
But we should at least be putting it out there for everyone to know that it doesn’t matter how old you are or how you are now, you can always train smarter and harder to improve yourself and raise your ceiling.
It’s about your character and your mindset.

Yeah you could say that but I would argue that this Lakers franchise is not the same great franchise that it once was. Before he got there they were pretty irrelevant. They won a championship and he is arguably a top 10 Laker of all time now.

He comes to the west and can’t win anymore. He doesn’t even really make the finals like he did in the east. That’s my point. He came here and didn’t do anything except one chip and only one finals appearance in the west. Failure compared to his east run. Also only making the playoffs 4 out 8 years. Not good

Jimmy Butler was not a top player last year. He avg. 17.5 pts/game. The Warriors were a play-in team the whole season.
