Why doesn’t he deserve it? There’s no rules saying role players shouldn’t

If a HOF coach says he deserves it, then he should be in it.

Robert Horry was a good player but he was nothing more than just a good role player that made clutch shots

    • Roman Avila

      May 26, 2021 at 10:20 pm

Why should that bar him from the Hall? What rule says role players can’t be HOFers. It ain’t exclusive to superstars

    • cvante awesome

      May 26, 2021 at 10:34 pm

@Roman Avila there’s no rule it’s just that the HOF is supposed to be for being outstanding in your sport. He was not outstanding he was just clutch which is good but if he is Kerr has to be in as a player. So many role players helped stars that’s their role

    May 26, 2021 at 10:00 pm

Horry has no business. He’s not no where near to being a hall of famer. Him and HOF considerations should never be discussed. Let’s stop it!

Big Shot Bob the reason why some of these HOFs have rings, HE ABSOLUTELY DESERVES TO BE A HOFer. Who says role players can’t be HOFers. Only ppl like u dude; u tripping

    • Kevin P

      May 26, 2021 at 10:26 pm

      @Roman Avila you’re being emotional.
He averaged 7.0 points per game 4.8 Rebounds per game 2.1 assists per game. Really? If we’re basing the Hall of Fame on clutch play then you need to put John Paxson in there as well. He was crucial in those Bulls championships and helped MJ. Horry never made an all star team. Come on man! I Iike Robert but he’s NOT a HofFamer

    • jude norbz

      May 26, 2021 at 11:39 pm

@rockyscarlet Dafuck? Tmac is worthy of being HOF lowered? LMAO! 7x All Star, 2x All NBA 1st Team, 3x All NBA 2nd Team, MIP, 19.6ppg, 5.6rbg, 4.4apg, got selected for team USA FIBA Americas Gold medalist got, a shoe deal with one of the biggest sports company in the world Adidas, 2x scoring champ and definitely a superstar before his injuries. Without Horry’s Chips what does he have? lol.

    May 26, 2021 at 10:03 pm

Horry averaged 7pts and 4.8rebs. No all star and no all nba team. Stop it

      May 26, 2021 at 11:43 pm

@Roman Avila All nba players that have been inducted in the hall of fame have all star selection all nba selection you can google it, it’s a travesty if Horry gets into the HOF for a guy that has no all star no all nba and absolutely lacks individual accolades. HOF are for great players not role players

      Let me ask you this.

Can the history of the NBA be written without Robert Horry? If the answer is anything other than a definite “yes”, then he’s a Hall of Famer. And last time I checked, Robert Horry has made LOTS of clutch shots to earn all 7 of his rings (the 4th quarter and overtime of Game 5 of the 2005 NBA Finals comes to mind…and that was a series that his team won in Game 7, so wrap your brain around THAT for a moment).

    • Q P

      May 27, 2021 at 12:34 am

      @Dion R big facts

    • Dion R

      May 27, 2021 at 12:58 am

@Q P to this day, people still act like Horry won his 7 rings by riding the coat tails of Olajuwon, Shaq, Kobe, Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili, while completely IGNORING the fact that he made clutch shots in the playoffs to save those title runs. In fact, he made a career of making big shots in the playoffs. The most extreme example of him saving a title run is Game 5 of the 2005 Finals, where he took over the 4th quarter and Overtime to win that game (and oh yeah, spoiler alert; he hit the game winning 3 pointer in that game…spoiler alert #2; that series went to Game 7, which Horry’s team won, so you tell me the outcome of that series if Horry was factored out of the equation).

It’s players in the 60s worse than Horry.

He shouldn’t be in the HOF but he will definitely be remembered as one of the greatest role players to ever play the game.

    • Roman Avila

      May 26, 2021 at 10:20 pm

He should be in the HOF

    • Cold Ing

      May 26, 2021 at 10:52 pm

      He’s not a roleplayer dimwit

    • jude norbz

      May 26, 2021 at 11:20 pm

@Roman Avila Without his chips what are his achievements? Only rookie 2nd team? LMAO! Ye his clutch and a great role player but not HOF worthy player 7ppg 4rb 2ast no all star appearance no team usa selection no gold medal no mvp no all nba team no all nba defensive team he lacks individual accolades to be worthy of being a HOF. That is why Kerr as a player is also not worthy of being HOF causeb both of them lack individual accolades but got multiple rings they’re not a scrub either they just know their roles but definitely not a HOF both of em were just lucky to have played with the greatest ballers off all time. Right team at the the right time and hit the right clutch shots I would say..

    • Allan

      May 27, 2021 at 12:26 am

Yeah, if he is HOF, then every player on the winning side should be HOF too.

  14. Roman Avila

    May 26, 2021 at 10:17 pm

Whoever says role players can’t be HOFers, y’all really need to reassess your basketball IQ. Robert Horray the reason why some of these HOFers have rings; 💯💯💯
HE DESERVES IT; BIG SHOT BOB TO THE HALL 🙌🙌🙌

  15. Abdullahi Nur

    May 26, 2021 at 10:19 pm

So any role player multiple championships are allowed to be HOF. C’mon lol does that mean if Horry gets in they gonna allow Derek Fisher loool.

    • Fack U Mean

      May 26, 2021 at 10:30 pm

How many notable game winning clutch shot did Derek Fischer made

U gotta be able to put up numbers an be considered a top 10 talent at your position for atleast 7-8 years to be eligible, but idk they got fans going into the HoF now

    • Guillermo Vazquez

      May 27, 2021 at 1:32 am

@Dion R you’re an idiot if u think Horry was ever near TMacs level

    • Dion R

      May 27, 2021 at 2:16 am

@Guillermo Vazquez After the Finals sweep against Orlando is when defenders should have gotten the memo to not leave Robert Horry open in the clutch. This is tantamount to kicking the ball directly to Devin Hester.

    • Guillermo Vazquez

      May 27, 2021 at 2:25 am

@Dion R yeah cause your not double Hakeem, Shaq an Kobe, Timmy, Manu, or Parker, HoF is an individual achievement, credit to Horry for being professional an always ready but individually he was never a hall of fame talent

    • Guillermo Vazquez

      May 27, 2021 at 2:26 am

@Dion R an that’s literally not the same thing a wide open 3 vs running the football 90+ yards through an opposing football team

If your not in the hof and you need someone to speak up for you to be in the hof then that should tell you something….what about role players who played significant minutes and contributed to a championship but didn’t hit big shots should they be in the hof also 🤔

    May 26, 2021 at 10:59 pm

I was watching his speech by YouTube and I was like “Why he wouldn’t talk about Horry?” But, he was preparing for the last moment to talk about him😅It was like Robert Horry’s big clutch shot😁👍🏆

Big Shot Bob. That name exists for a good reason.

    May 26, 2021 at 11:36 pm

I see Horry like a smart investor. He sees opportunity, evaluates which team is on the rise to make shrewd move and makes an impact with his big shots but he doesn’t have the body of work to constitute a HOF.

  21. Ernest Walker

    May 26, 2021 at 11:42 pm

He should be in the hall of fame based off the fact he has the most rings
