Talen Horton Tucker might be the youngest player on the Los Angeles Lakers’ roster at age 20, but he plays like a VET!
The Chicago native turned up (for the second consecutive week) to play at the Dreamville Chi-League powered by Wilson at Chicago State on the city’s South Side.
THT starred on this same court for Simeon Career Academy’s basketball team just 3+ years ago.
For the finals, THT teamed up with OKC rookie Jeremiah Robinson Earl (Vilanova) and Chicago basketball vets including Jerome Randle (Cal), Jaylon Tate (Illinois) and more.
They faced Sterling Brown’s team (he didn’t play) which featured Rayjon Tucker (fresh off Sixers summer league) and Jeremy Pargo among others.
Seen in the gym: Chicago Bulls rookie Ayo Dosunmu talking with legend Tim Hardaway. Also Chicago Bears Tarik Cohen and David Montgomery sat behind the bench. Former Kentucky PG Tyler Ulis was under the basket.
It was a close game throughout (1-5 point margin). It came down to the final shot(s). You won’t want to miss this instant (pro am) classic from Chicago!

Sheesh can tell a lot of people in the comments don’t ball.
THT ball handling was awful each time he went behind the back it was shaky, missed dunk and layup, shot being blocked, sloppy pass or two while playing with guys he should easily be next level.
Looked more like an older guy at the Y that used to play D1 or some over 35 league 🤷🏻♂️
Was not chosen to take the last shot nor really stand out at all and this is the Lakers future at his 3rd year now coming up in the league?
