Building a dynasty requires strong veteran leadership and a winning culture throughout the organization. At this time, the Lakers have neither.

Maybe allow the coach their own staff. Maybe don’t allow one player to control your roster to the extent Lebron has had. All the moves this year were just not good. And then she gotta get everybody out of her ear.

I feel so bad for her. She had to spend all of her father’s money.

I’m with JJ. They traded away their future for Lebron, AD, and later Westbrook. Be grateful they got a championship in that shortened season (because there was no way they would have gotten it if it was full with AD’s injury history).

2020 only had like 19 games before the suspension, I doubt he would had a season ending injury besides the usual small but playable injuries

Well thats part of the problem. She knows a minimal amount of basketball, and assumes that money equals success in the NBA

I know stupid fans like calling it a “Mickey Mouse ring” but since Lebron came to the Lakers there’s only two teams that can realistically say they’ve been just as/more successful than the Lakers. Yea they aren’t as where we want them to be but there is at least 26 teams who would’ve took the same path if it meant they could have just one chip in the same timespan.

Can’t buy positions deep into the playoffs. She should’ve been unsatisfied long time ago

You applaud someone for speaking up when it actually takes some bravery to speak up for or against something. Talking to the media about being impatient with organization that you own isn’t “speaking up,” that’s just bad leadership.

And until they address anything it’s not even accountability, she never said that’s on me as the owner operator, she used the royal we and voiced dissatisfaction at her own mess.

It’s interesting, Jerry Jones has said over and over he would essentially “sell everything and the kitchen sink” to get just one more super bowl win. I’m surprised Jeanie doesn’t feel the same. I suppose there’s more riding on the Lakers being good than the cowboys, always hear about there being “more to do in LA other than watch a bad team”. Maybe there’s something to that as to why she isn’t satisfied but, I would imagine LeBron is packing the seats at any age in any uniform

That lakers 2020 team was good they should of kept it in tact at the time they had javelle McGee and Danny green who are great defenders and the team was a big team. And then could of got derozen over Westbrook that team would of been good and you’d be deep in the playoffs right now

Buss should revist “Winning”. Her father spent $, but on a game changing front office and players. GM West is game changer. She has Rob.

Lakers should trade LeBron for a younger star to pair with AD. Or get some 1st rd picks back in the trade. Maybe LeBron to Nets for Simmons. And trade Westbrook for a younger star PG. Malcolm Brogdon, Dlo, Brunson, Lavine to name a few.

If the Lakers make LeBron James player coach. The league would loose in court even though they banned it in 1985. No player/coaches! It is like telling the team a player can only play one position. The salary cap is a compensation issue. A separate statue. Who can coach the team is a basketball structure issue. The Lakers organization is autonomous. The only power the league has is whether the coaches salary (no matter who it is) is a cap issue or not. The league can not take away a team assets. Lebron James is more than qualified and not being able to use him as a coach is a legal handicap. This is a unique situation that should have never been allowed to happen.

If the Lakers would have taken Jayson Tatum instead of Lonzo Ball as their 2017 #2 Draft Pick, there would have kept all their other young talents instead of trading them for “Street Clothes” Anthony Davis. Magic Johnson gets the blame for this blunder.

Wow JJ sides with players I’m shock! 😂😂😂 we got bubble chip and have been out the first round and haven’t even made the playoffs twice and die hard lakers fans before the lebron era this isn’t a win! We expect to be contenders every year but with Russ, AD, LBJ we’re way to over the salary cap to build a real team to win a chip

She is a no talent idiot. Never achieved anything by herself. Always followed Daddy. Get used to this team! You have no pathway back to the playoffs! Much less a Championship. Delusions
