Bill Russell was a great basketball player and the most successful winner ever but he never averaged over 20 points per game and his fg%s are around 40%. Those are not GOAT level nunbers at all. People put too much weight on championships. Back then the Celtics only had to beat 7 other teams to win. In my opinion Russell wasn’t a good enough scorer to be on anyones top 10 regardless of how good a rebounder and shot blocker vs 60s competition he was.

Love Oscar and generationally I don’t have a problem with him being ranked high. But it’s hard for me to put him over Shaq, Tim Duncan, and Olojuwan with 1 chip. Although Oscar did not have the benefit of free agency until later in his career (and it helped him get a chip)
I also had Magic at 2 but I moved Magic to 3. Magic didn’t have the same impact on both ends that Bill Russell did. Shaq is way too high, he actually kind of underachieved given what he could’ve been. Kareem at 4 is fine. Larry Bird is top 5. Lebron at 6. Then Shaq, Duncan, Hakeem are 7-9 in whatever order you want to put them in. And Wilt at 10. Kobe is not top 10. He’s 11-15

I rate best player by me being about to put you on any team no matter the roster and they’ll carry that team… with that being said, LeBron is top 2 for me.
