I get Kendrick’s point, but just because we haven’t seen Steve Nash blow up in public, doesn’t mean he doesn’t care about defence or doesn’t demand the best out of his players every moment of a game.

You need to be reminded this the same steve nash who was under dantoni he may care but being a defensive minded coach is one thing he is not notted for

I don’t want to discount what Hwat have done but I’d still go Nets. KD and Kyrie together are just too prolific. I think they’re one kf the best duos the league has ever seen and when they lock in, it’s a wrap. They do, however, need more from their role players.

playoff basketball is more suited for pure scorers like kd and kyrie than for the miami heat players. They will beat but nevertheless itll be rough. Nets in 5/6.

Fool…. Did u just say “the playoffs is more suited for pure scorers” how about it’s suited for the better team and more experience heat got tested playoff and finals management and players just like the nets dude nets are a first round exit

Any team avoiding anybody in either the first rd or semifinals and move lower or even higher to avoid teams are punks and are not worthy of being champs if they do period.

Purely media narrative. I’m sure teams like the Bucks and Heat would rather play the Nets in the 1st round to get them out of the way early.

Yea i always thought this was a stupid topic. If you want to win the finals you have to beat the best teams. Why would you be scared of playing a good team if you plan on beating the best teams anyway?

      March 26, 2022 at 2:14 am

Don’t think it’s about avoiding I think the top teams are more under pressure when facing the lower teams for a quick exit but thats just my thoughts..

Nope no fear, there are key reasons why no1 seed is no1 and no8 seed is no8. Last year Lakers faced the suns and got destroyed without hope

    • Brendan Bloom

      March 25, 2022 at 6:38 pm

Lakers got destroyed once AD went down. Nets with kd and Kyrie playing will be difficult for any team to beat.

    • Vilius R.

      March 25, 2022 at 8:03 pm

@Brendan Bloom no, miami will play good defence and it will be over in 6 games. Are there any playoff matches wgere no8 seed eliminates no1 seed?

    • Brendan Bloom

      March 25, 2022 at 9:58 pm

@Vilius R. 6 games is still a close series. It’s going to be a competitive series. Bucks played good defense last year and it was still a competitive series. 8 seeds have beaten 1 seeds before and an 8 seed has made the finals before.
