@Marcus Crescenzo Lol how when they were both successful when fired? Players just being babies and can’t handle actually earning their pay checks and only want to show up for games. if they had equivalent records in the NFL they’d be top coaches and no way they’d get fired, it’s just different culture.

Hes a good assistant coach and nothing more and everybody in the NBA should stay away from signing him as their head coach unless they wanna ruin their future talents potential of being superstars. It’s one thing to say that you’ve learned from your mistakes but trust me once this guys put in a situation where a star player will need to play more minutes to win even though a player might look wobbly or tired he won’t even hesitate to push that player to his limits and ruin his career.

He refused to let actual offensive coordinators give any assistance and he sucked at coaching offensive. I was happy when he got fired. He has good intentions just shouldn’t be the HC imo.

He’s too old to change. The next best thing for him is to be an assistant.

Nah this dude had too many opportunities. He single handedly ruined D-rose’s potential of becoming an All time guard by playing him unnecessarily and causing him to get injured. Then we saw what he did in Mnnnesota

    • Elijah Ruderman

      May 8, 2020 at 1:34 am

He overplays his starters, but it’s not fair to say that he single handedly ruin Rose’s chance at becoming an all time great. He played Rose an average of 36.7 minutes per game in his 2 seasons before he tore his ACL, which were Thibodeau’s first two seasons in Chicago. Those minutes are pretty normal for an MVP level player, and back then very few players were load managing or playing less minutes throughout a season to be more ready for the playoffs. A different coach who understood Rose’s injury potential because of his style of play may have played Rose 30 – 32 minutes per game so he would be more fresh for the playoffs. But Rose would’ve been injury prone anyways, even if Thibodeau wasn’t his coach. Also Rose is a starting caliber point guard which is all because of the work he’s put in every healthy offseason that he’s had. I hope he gets traded to a contender, where he likely will come off the bench and he’ll be a top 5 6th man in the NBA.

If the Knicks hire thibbs, and keep their next season pick and land james wiseman — they’ll make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs. There’s no other bigman in the east coast with talent like that, except Embiid, IMO.

He made a mistake by playing drose but accidents happen it’s part of playing the game. Only people complaining about the minutes he plays guys are fans that have never played. Who wouldn’t want to play 40+ minutes lol. He gets praise from all of his players

i’d lyke to see thibbs in portland. we seriously need a defensive coordinator of thibbs’ caliber. im tired of the team bein laxed on that end of the floor while playin high octane offense. if we shored up the defense we could get to the promised land. we styll got to fire stotts.

Good coach but he has to come to the realization these NBA players are too soft to play 40 minutes a night.

This just in…hot off the presses! Bill O’Brien has just traded JJ WATT, DESHAUN WATSON, and 50 Million in cash to the Bears for: Bill Wenningtons shoes from 1991, a pork chop sandwich from Original Jim’s, a blue 1984 Ford Crown Victoria, and Mitch Trubisky! Cal McNairs boyfriend Bill O’Brien sure is the best GM/HC combo in the history of sports, Looks like a great season, let’s go for 0-16 guys, with a 1st round draft pick that Billy boy can trade for Luc Longelys shorts, GO TEXANS!!!
