    Revisionist history. When both teams were 100% healthy, the Warriors were up 2-1 with home court advantage. Iggy gets injured and the Rockets win the next two games by a combined 7 points. Then CP3 gets injured and Rockets lose.

    It’s all hearsay, but objectively the Warriors were the better team when both teams were healthy.

      You’re right but it’s not revisionist history, Chuck just said that if CP doesn’t get hurt (which came after the Iggy injury) then the Rockets would have won. Perhaps he’s right. It makes sense to me. He was speaking after Iggy got hurt, he wasn’t making comparisons if they were both healthy.

      @Melvin Olaverria
      It’s revising because no one ever mentions it. It’s always “If CP3 hadn’t been hurt…”

      It’s unfair to suggest if one team didn’t have injury problems that things would be different when both teams were dealing with it.

      Imagine how ludicrous it would sound if the Warriors starting 5 were all injured and the same outcome happened with CP3. If someone said “If CP3 wouldn’t have been injured they would have won!” Everyone would have jumped on them for it. Ppl just don’t respect what Iggy brings to the table, therefore why they omit the fact he was also injured.

      @Frostshokula the only reason people omit iggy, is because KD joined the team. No One cares if that team loses with our without iggy because KD is on the team. If kd wasn’t on the team than every fan would agree with you. Is this fair…NO, but is having a team with Steph, klay, KD, Draymond Fair….NO! So no non warrior fan I going to care. Whether you like it or not, KD is just that great of a player that no one cares whether iggy played or not. Plus that warriors team fully healthy w/ Iggy, was just UNBEATABLE. That’s why everyone says that the rockets were a CP injury away from beating them, because NO ONE thought that the warriors team, would have any true threat to beat them in the playoffs.

    “Everywhere he has been he has won” really? What has he won? That is true of Lebron but CP3 has not won anything

      Prolly means being a great leader and taking them as far as possible , when b4 he got on a team those teams were looked at as not making the playoffs or first round sweeps

    PEOPLE ALWAYS TALK ABOUT MAKING THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU BETTER. CHRIS PAUL IS THE EPITOME OF THAT STATEMENT. HE HAS GAINED MY UTMOST RESPECT, I DISAGREE WITH ALOT OF THINGS HE DONE OVER HIS CAREER BUT HE’S THE EPITOME OF WHAT YOU WANT IN A POINT GUARD. I’M STILL SALTY THAT DAVID STERN VETOED THE TRADE TO PAIR HIM WITH KOBE BRYANT YEARS AGO. THEY WOULD OF AT LEAST GOT 1 CHIP TOGETHER.

    I looked up the overall numbers and you know what…we really overlook John Stockton…props to CP3 but I don’t think Stockton’s records will be broken for assists or steals…especially when everyone is just throwing up 3’s.

      I cant speak for other people but me personally, stockton, despite his numbers, which is largely due to him being the healthiest player in nba history, i dont necessarily overlook him i just honestly dont think he was a better PLAYER than those other guys

      @Mek96 I feel like when we think assists we think about Nash, Magic Johnson or even steals the first thought that came into my mind was The glove Gary Payton. He definitely had the luck to be with Karl for a long time but to run the offense as well as be a top defensive player…I think his mild mannered personality really blankets him from the others…I hope they enshrined Stockton at Utah like they did with shaq, Kobe, jordan for their teams…time for me to binge some Stockton highlights haha

    CP3 is an amazing player. I just don’t like his antics, he’s a dirty player with an arrogant attitude. Too bad.

      It’s about playing the point guard position it’s not a “Who’s the pg that’s won the most” argument. Rings are a team accomplishment. This is about who’s top 5 greatest pgs that play that position. Winning could also mean turning franchises around & making them winning organizations meaning contenders it’s not all about the rings. The Knicks have banners but for a while they weren’t a “winning” organization. 🥴
