If Giannis pulls a Kevin Durant and ends up with the Warriors, Clippers or Lakers (assuming their stars remain healthy), he risks being seen as another Durant. As good as Durant is, he will probably never be considered on the level of the all-time elites of the game, guys like Wilt, Oscar and Jerry were then, and LeBron and Steph are now. Durant sacrificed four prime years of his career to go to a championship team which already had a “Big Three” in place. It was his prerogative, and it was his choice. Kawhi had a chance to create a monster on the other side side of town but chose to be the man instead. Giannis needs to go to a place like Miami. Better yet, the Celtics. The Freak, Tatum and Brown would terrorize the league for years to come.
