No point in wasting playing the 2 just to go to the league and play the 1 then complain about you don’t know how to run the 1 bc you never did growing up. I don’t think it’s as much as him adjusting to the competition but rather to the system and style of play. East coast basketball is more systematic and structured than the west coast. He isn’t the primary ball handler or the #1 option on his team anymore so he’s adjusting more to his new role as a team player rather than carrying his team like he always has done in the past. He’s forced to actually play defense which he never really had to do, so he’s turning into a whole new player and it’ll definitely pay off huge after he graduates.
