I agree with Kenny and Chuck. Siakim was the #2 on the championship Raptors. He was #1 thereafter and he just wasn’t that guy. On the Pacers he’s going to be 1b, but really this is Haliburton’s team. At minimum the Pacers upgraded at the 4. He’s a great fit on paper. Do they rise to Celtics, Sixers, Bucks, tier in the East? I doubt it, but they are closer and have a good core to build on. The Raptors got the best they could get, just like with the Anunouby trade. It’s a decent value since both those guys would have walked in the offseason, but not great.
Indiana is NOT going to GET to 2 OR 3 IN the EAST. THIS is a GOOD trade for THEM but their DEFENSE is TOO porous. Pascal is a GOOD defender BUT not GOOD enough to COMPLETELY elevate their DEFENSE. Depending UPON who they PLAY in RND 1 the PACERS are GOING home EARLY. THIS trade HELPS them FOR the FUTURE not NOW!
Shaq saying he should’ve went to Philly 😂 nah bro, he’s not good enough. Utah got more for Gobert lol. Chuck saying they can get to 2, even tho Indiana doesn’t play defense. After saying bucks won’t win because they give up 140 points? Must’ve been a gas leak in the dressing rooms.
