How does Charles Barkley not have an MVP Vote? Anyone on the dream team disserves a vote, and he’s in the media too

1:15 Points don’t mean what they used to with the refs favoring offense like they do now

Man’s averaging a 35 pt triple double. He’s getting his team involved, he’s rebounding. Yeah, he’s getting all his points unassisted cause he’s the main ball handler and no one can guard him. He either scores or he gets it to his team mate who will score.

If you watch more mavs games, you’d see Luka actually tries to involve his teammates all the time.. They miss so many open shots he creates. Also mavs don’t have good ba

this must be top 3 team in the league must to be MVP is so silly. They need to rename this Award, to Best/stacked team in the league and their superstar award. It’s Luka who is the MVP of his team and the league. He is in the top with points, steals and defensive rating.

I get it, Luka doesn’t have the same supporting cast but I don’t think that should discredit Tatum because the Celtics have the wherewithal to surround him with a team

Chuck is right. A great player has to learn to play without the ball. If and when Luka gets one or two great players to play with him, to make them useful in their own right, he will have to get through that change. But I think he is mentally capable to do it because he’s so young and still developing. Time will tell.

When Luka does facilitate and plays off the ball, half the time the team cannot deliver. Luka has had some of the best passes of the season (ignoring Jokic and his insane vision) and given amazing looks to his teammates, only for them to whiff. When the team cannot finish or take advantage of Luka, then he has to step up and do it himself, which he can clearly do

As Luka plays more and more in the NBA the more LeBron like his career has become, he’s so good and transcendent that it doesn’t matter how bad his team is he’s so great that he’ll still find a way to make the playoffs, give him a YMCA old head, a WNBA player, a 5’10 college kid who says he would make the NBA if he was 2 inches taller and a player clip and he’ll still make the playoffs

I get what Chuck is saying. If Luca is just dribbling and dribbling and dribbling in an isolation then he’s freezing the rest of his teammates and that stagnates the offense. But if he’s getting an unassisted field goal because he has to take four or five dribbles in order to get in position to shoot that’s fine. He’s not a catching shoot kind of player so he should try to be something he’s not. Other than Steph Curry there’s nobody in the NBA who can get off at 3:00 when covered like Luca so let’s not use that as a negative towards him.

Can’t say he’s the favorite, but if he stays healthy this year I think it’s gonna be him. Kenny summed it up well. Nobody’s out there helping Luka like the other guys have. Not

Jokic for the third..If we are talking about carrying a team Denver has best offensive record with Jokic on court, the worst with his him the bench. Same thing happened last season with these pundits denying the reality, & then he won. It’s not close. To not have him in the conversation id just ignorant.

The player they are deceiving they want Luka to be is the player Jokic already is. They just refuse to recognize it. Charles made a good point about is Luka wants to be a truly great player, he has to learn to play without the ball in his hands, and to trust other teammates to get an assist off of him. Jokic is the epitome of that. MV3

The thing is, what is not in the Stats is – how many assists could he have more if the team would hit let’s just say 20% more. He tries to involve the players around him but there’s the point in the game where he goes – okay I am capable off dropping 50 and carry the team and if you all brick and don’t contribute I have to do so, in order to secure the win. Accept of the last 10 games where CWood was a starter no one consistently scored with him. It was always a gamble if someone goes off or is hiding behind brick walls. Right now, Luka doesn’t have much choice if they wanna win games and secure the POs.
