Its because its a hard watch, you see less display of skill than male HS state championships. How about you lower the rim by a foot, get some dunks in. Pull in the 3pt line. Nobody expects them to match men in physicality so make adjustments so they can showcase ther skills.

Crazy how Nike is now pushing ADs about upending the patriarchy in sports with visuals by women. And then they turn around and want men to watch them play sports. Women don’t watch other women play sports. They will watch men play competitive sports, however. So if women pro athletes are not getting “the respect” it’s because it’s women who are not paying them attention. Why should men be forced to watch and acknowledge women in sports? Let women build their own audiences. See how far they get.

People say that you are hating on womens sport if you say you don’t like womens basketball, I watch womens sports such as tennis, swimming, track and field, and pretty much all womens sports at the olympics, but lets be honest womens basketball just isn’t good, it’s like watch in a u15 AAU game in slow motion, that’s not me hating it’s just the truth.

Womens sport is extremely uneven. Its like watching the nba when it was nothing but the lakers and celtics in the finals every year. Womens sports as a whole need to step up their games before they even belong in the same conversation as mens sport. They could have won with a bunch of limbless athletes. Most of the medals came from usa women because of the lack of competitiveness from the other countries.

It’s not intersecting because nobody cares…I actually love women’s basketball dawn Staley is my all-time favorite 215 stand up…but if we’re being honest women’s sports don’t have à wide appeal outside of it’s purest fans kinda like soccer the US the overall public just doesn’t like it and you can’t make them. Blaming the lack of popularity on anything else is disingenuous and turns people further away. The players themselves don’t help the cause by saying ridiculous things like they should make more money when they know the sport doesn’t generate any money they are on NBA welfare
