Rachel is usually spot on but showing the 3pt shooting that is leaving which was poorly rated as a team for most of the season without juxtaposition to the 3pt shooting coming in was a big miss. Wayne Ellington is a better volume 3pt shooter than everyone on last year’s team. Additionally, Monk, Nunn, and Anthony shot the 3 ball well while Bazemore, and Ariza are threats. great Job Rob. Now get us James Ennis III and can’t wait for the sign and trade of Schroeder (please send Gasol as well)

They need to make Lebron happy, he is still the best player on their team. AD and Westbrook are extremely talented but they aren’t team leaders like Lebron, with talent, experience, basketball smarts and leadership abilities combined. Melo still has it and is over his NY Knicks depression years, I believe he will shock people, he has one more year of greatness and Lebron will get it out of Melo. Melo will be a role player primarily, but there will be a crucial game in the playoffs where he comes up huge like 30+ pts when AD or Lebron is injured to save the day. Melo is Melo in his personality but a happy Melo is an all time great. Howard is going to be huge too, losing Howard and McGee last year, when they could have retained them for not much money was a big loss for the Lakers.

This is dumb. Melo has been done for years. What makes anyone think this will be any different then his brief stay with the Rockets? If anything I think his and Lebron’s style of play do not really compliment each other. Of course that has been the MO on Carmelo his entire time in the league. His style of play does not lead to good team basketball, not that Lebron plays team ball. I hope the Lakers get kicked in the teeth.

With Lebron, Westbrook and AD the Lakers will score a lot and playing with that big 3 average 3 pt shooters will become very good 3 pt shooters like going from 34% to 39% just from the mojo of the team. If Westbrook avgs 9 assists/game and Lebron avgs 7 assist per/game they will figure it out and be one of the best teams in the league. AD is mobile and crafty, playing with Westbrook and Lebron, AD will get a ton of easy buckets every game. Also Vogel will get them to play team defense with pieces like AD, Howard, Westbrook and Lebron they will figure out how to play good team defense.
