Morey sabotaged the Rockets on his way out of the door with the full page ad praising Harden. Now he tries to sabotage the Rockets again by praising Harden via tweet, so the situation in Houston remains dysfunctional re: Harden trade. He knew what he was doing. He deserved the fine & the NBA should block any proposed trade of Harden to 76ers like CP3 to Lakers…Morey ain’t that clever.

@Antoine Mims So the NBA both executed the trade then vetoed the trade? And they vetoed the trade because, although they did the due diligence (via designated staff), it would be a conflict of interest to consummate the trade?
I think your conclusion is wrong. The NBA vetoed the trade because other owners complained to the commissioner & it violated a gentleman’s agreement window of a trade allowed…

@Antoine Mims You’re missing the major flaw in the assertion you made. The NBA MADE the trade in the 1st place. Their staff did the groundwork to outline the proposed terms in order to execute the trade. If the NBA’s own staff did all the work to enable the trade, there was a nefarious obstacle that emerged that required the very entity that proposed & executed the trade to turn around & veto said trade. That nefarious obstacle was ultimately the 27 other owners, who are the actual superiors to the NBA commissioner. You’re missing that point.
