First of all, Kevin Durant is not from Baltimore..he’s from PG county Maryland which is Washington DC. Whenever Baltimore plays DC/PG county they get crushed. The Mecca of basketball really is PG County, I don’t know why they say New York, New York comes down to DC and gets crushed every summer.. if anything it’s LA Chicago, and DC. Baltimore gets grouped in with DC, but alone they are not a basketball threat.. Baltimore can play, don’t get me wrong, but you’re going against a place that produces more NBA and WNBA talent than anywhere else in the country per capita.. which is PG county. LA is the Mecca of basketball summer leagues, but I think the Mecca of producing basketball talent by the numbers is the DC area, I mean, that’s just factual.. this guy from Miami named a summer league, where none of the players are from Miami. It’s a bunch of NBA All-Stars who visit Miami in the summertime. DC, Chicago, LA, they can have an All-Star team of players from their actual cities playing in the summer league. That’s the difference.

@Melvin Woods negative. DC doesn’t have many basketball players. All the NBA players come from PG County not dc…Durant, Beasley, Oladipo, Steve Francis, josh heart, Jeff green just won a chip last week, Quinn cook got 2..if I keep going with the names I’d run out of space..I just don’t feel like typing all night. PG is overloaded with talent. PG does basketball..that’s the Sparta of basketball. It’s just what they do bro.. Baltimore does a lot of stuff..a lot of stuff…but PG only does one thing

@augustusX82 – Why DC top AAU programs and High Schools recruit Baltimore players? PG county is PG county, it’s not DC. Georgetown won their first Champion due to Baltimore/Dunbar talent and UMD won their most recent championship because of Calvert Hall/Baltimore talent. Baltimore has history in DC when it comes to Basketball. PG Is twice the size of Baltimore and Harm City will take a second seat to nothing down 95 south. Baltimore is down to half its population since the 70s but still produce talent. I could name a ton of talents from Baltimore that help put DC’s top programs on the map. Facts, its Baltimore kids on their rosters today. The DMV has the choice of DC, MD and Virginia talent that’s like a metro population of 3 million while Harm City present a population of 500,000 people. Still Baltimore talent dominate the MD state Championships, which PG county plays in. The DMV first felt Baltimore’s talent in 72 when a stacked DeMatha team, lost to a public-school/Dunbar.
Ask Curtis Malone, Keith Stevens, Trouble Smith and others since you lack the knowledge.

@mike howard the most recent championship was 20 years ago. today Pg county produces more D1 college players than anywhere else in the country AND more NBA and WNBA players per capita than anywhere else in the country. That’s a fact. Just google it. pg county has about a million people, the entire DC area has about 6 1/2 million people and Baltimore has about 3 million ish for the entire Baltimore statistical area..the entire DMV has about 10 million people. That’s the third largest area in the country behind New York and Los Angeles. The population is there for a deep talent pool, but under no circumstances is Baltimore or dc on the same level as pg county when it comes to producing basketball talent in large Mass. just look it up. This is fact not opinion. The kids in Baltimore just don’t have the basketball resources that kids in PG have. Kids in PG have trainers at 4 and 5 years old. And PG County kids have access to indoor gyms and almost every neighborhood pretty much seven days a week, they also have a good number of 24 hour Basketball options. I’m not saying Baltimore does not have talent, they do, but when comparing Baltimore to PG County, there’s no contest there.
