5 Camps, 5 Continents: A Look at Basketball Without Borders 2019-2020

Basketball Without Borders is the NBA and FIBA’s global basketball development initiative that unites young basketball players to promote the sport of basketball as well as leadership, health and wellness. Since the program launched in 2001, the NBA and FIBA have staged 62 camps in 39 cities across 30 countries and six continents, and 77* BWB participants have gone on to be drafted or signed as free agents in the NBA and WNBA. At the heart of the BWB concept is a four-day camp bringing together top young basketball prospects aged 18-and-under from Africa, Europe, the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region to compete, learn, develop and play the game they love. Watch as we recap the 2019-2020 BWB season, which consists of four regional BWB camps in Colombia, Latvia, Senegal and Japan, and culminates at BWB Global, held over NBA All-Star Weekend, which brings together the top 64 international prospects to showcase their talents at the highest level.

We seem to be the tallest people in the world…yet we have a very small basketball culture…how sad it is (greetings from the Netherlands)….

Lmao, I always wondered why the Netherlands suck at Basketball even tho they had an all star player and are the tallest people on average.

GG 🌍👼🏾🌐🦁🔁🧙🏾‍♂️🦚👣⬇️🖼️ yourself like a tree today. Plant your feet on the earth, extend your arms out to the side to open your heart to angelic love, and then reach them up to the heavens. Know that you are grounded in this divine love and give yourself permission to sway when harsh winds blow. You won’t be broken – you are strong. Thank you Team Real Talk Oasis

The NBA shoehorns in women’s basketball whenever possible in the same way that stores try to upsell you on an extended warranty.

      They’re underage…

    • Otto Fetting

      March 12, 2021 at 10:11 pm

@Baul Solanos under what age exactly?? Under the age to think they are cute?
The social norms of western society don’t govern the planet earth. So they are under an age that you and your culture believes is too young, so I can’t think they are cute?
Beauty is, beauty doesn’t become. Please get a clue.
