Kenny is right on this one. Since it’s only 16/17 games into the season some teams might have better records because they’ve had an easier schedule. The Timberwolves could have advanced if they just won their group.
Also, think the point differential is fine because it’s out of the group tournament games. Like, the Knicks had to play the Celtics twice, the Cavs twice, the Bucks, in their first few games. Shouldn’t have to compare them to teams with easier opening schedules. Point differential from group games keeps it more balanced and fair.
