These games were so bad that Byrd kept referring to team Rob as team Nitty. It is impossible to play with Nitty he gets upset about every little thing. Ty Glover was horrific on both ends of the court.

Whites paint presence was non existent on both sides of the ball. Ty the tallest man on the court and is floating around the 3 point line on offense and just looking lost on defense. Ainβt no consequences for fouling. Ty get in the paint, draw attention, and be felt on defense. No way rob team shoulda lost that series.

(Long analysis of the games)
5s exposes the lack of IQ. Too much dribbling, no reason for that many dribbles by any player in a 5v5 setting. I get Nittyβs POV of rocking defenders to sleep with the dribble, however a better alternative is a simple swing, get the d scrambled – more effective than going between cross 10 times.
I also donβt care for the 3s on fastbreaks, yeah they can knock down shots but letβs get the higher percentage look by attacking the defense while theyβre out numbered, so may fast breaks unexecuted. Also people gotta understand getting paint touches is the name of the game in 5s – draw the defense in and kick out.
Black did play better than white, more ball movement and less emotions during timeouts. This game is a prime example of working of the game all around instead of just your scoring bag. Can you defend? Move without the ball / cut? Are you willing to put to the side your ego to fulfill the role the team needs to win? Can you communicate without emotions?
Rob was passive and could have been more aggressive with scoring however I donβt knock him completely, heβs playing team ball and not forcing, they werenβt looking for him enough. Scar and Dom played the best D, Dom had great energy and a few really good possessions. Tray played really well without forcing. Still donβt think either team had an actual PG.

ngl Nas’ team always seem too stacked cause they have people who are considered to be amongst the top of this scene and they play together often. in a future season, I would love to see some players go on the opposing side.
