05:10 I’m sorry Shaq, times have changed. You don’t think culture has changed from 1924 compare to 2024. So you have to change with the times because that’s the way of life. Adapt or sink. 💯
Joe Mazulla outcoached again, this time by Darvin Ham! How, you ask? Simple – Ham sat out his two best starters for the entire game while Joe countered only by sitting out his three best starters for the second half. Humbly accepting the defeat as a learning experience Mazulla ( spoiler alert ) planning on benching ALL of his starters for remaining games before All Star break in a move too brilliant for the media to understand but make sure to tune in for the press conferences
Imagine paying $60M a year for a guy who has 8 points and 8 boards when the best two players on the other team are out. No way he’s worth a $300M contract
The young Lakers players sent a loud and strong message to the Lakers’ owner and the management: we are not the problem with the Lakers. We are not the reason why the team is losing. The problem lies elsewhere; and that elsewhere is LeBron and AD. They may have sat out of the Boston game to avoid a perceived embarrassing defeat from the Celtics. Unfortunately for them, the younger players saw it as an opportunity to expose them; and they did. It may be the best thing to happen to the Lakers this NBA season. The team is already reaping the dividend from the Boston win. Both LeBron and AD played a monster game in their defeat of the New York Knicks. AD and LeBron focused on defense and they gave an incredible performance on defense especially AD. This attitude together with the increased pace of the game again brought out the best out of the young players and resulted in a win in New York. Lakers don’t need further trades this season. Let the two big money players prove that they are still worth the money they are being paid. That’s what Superstar is all about. They should be the difference maker not the problem.

That had to be one game where Darvin Hands In Pockets actually got to fully coach the team.
