Summer League MVP has not been a good indicator for success in the NBA…every single one in the last ten years have become role players or slightly above-average starters, no All-Star selections, no All-NBA selections. Murray could break that streak maybe?
Let’s not forget he lead the kings to 3-0 a week prior in the California classic, lead all scoring at 19.7 pts, 8 rebs with fg% over 50% and 3pt over 40%. In 7 games total he had six 20+ games.
Yes, it’s ONLY summer league but still stacked against the best young talented players in the world playing hard and aggressive. Still impressive…
Hope he’s the answer for the Kings. Would love to see this team compete like they used to. It’s about time. And also bring back the Sonics. That’s about damn time also.
