The players wanted the right to speak out on injustice. They got that. The league’s are investing money in social justice cause. I’m confused. What missing?

I dont really think the agenda is clear. Kyrie knows hes just risking injury and disease for a championship he will never have this year. He wants to create drama like he always does. Very selfish

@jattz4lyfe Resuming the season would be a major distraction from the main issue. It would do more harm than good.

Lets be honest, the kneeling and i cant breathe t shirts have gotten us no where
Soon as the sports return, the protest will die down. Thats what White corporate america wants.
A hold out with legislative goals is the best use of their influence and it would be a peaceful way to escalate the players protests.
ESPN only wants them to play so they can get paid. Dont let them fool you

Remember all the outrage and protest about kids in cages at the border?
Its still going on, during the pandemic. No one is talking about it because no one is protesting it anymore.
Dont let Black Lives Matter go down the drain like that movement

      June 15, 2020 at 6:18 pm

Lenox W It won’t die down until after the election because that’s the whole point of it.. BLM always pops up around election time then fades after. They’re just trying to persuade people to vote a certain way..

If people need to be told about political issues through athletes? Not much need to be said about that person who listens to those people who plays sports. I mean you don’t goto college to learn preschool education.

Lebron tryna bolster up his off the court legacy so he can say he’s greater than Jordan through his on/off the court exploits combined together because he knows he can’t match up on the court alone.

TheLiverpoolKing No it’s not hate some people just pay better attention than you do. It’s clear as day that everything LeBron does for the most part is about brand building. I’m not saying he doesn’t care about black people. But most of the stuff this guy does is orchestrated by Nike.

RebelDaSoundz dude no… Lebron has been an activist and MJ running interference because he knows once Lebron is done… besides his shoes… his game will be forgotten. Lebron is better… get over it. Rings are team accomplishments. Individual records, Bron is Crushing Mike.

Don’t care for Sport athlete’s political opinions.

This should be more about entertainment than a civics lesson on social reform. No thanks espn.

The more politics in sports the less anybody would watch. It’s happening already. It becomes more about a tool to control others.

      June 15, 2020 at 7:23 pm

Sports and politics have always been mixed cut it out lol players have no bigger audience than when they’re going to play. And politics is in everyone’s livelihood every day no matter what. Everyone should be invested in learning about it because an uneducated vote does more damage to life than a nonvote and every American can vote

      June 15, 2020 at 7:35 pm

@Stephon Hopkins It has no choice but to coincide on our daily lives.

It is entertainment, getting too political is not entertaining.

If your not entertaining you are out of buisness. Lines are drawn.

Unions are not good for the sports. This will cause more rift and drama for the audience (too political). This will divert there attention to else where. As for sitting out due to social causes… that doesnt make sense. NBA is a business just because you have more influence, power and money doesnt mean you can dictate and decide for the business when you feel like playing or not. If I worked at wendy’s and said I dont want to come to my job because of social justice reasons,, I best be ready to get fired for it. Instead, devote your time and energy for social causes without disturbing the business is the best way to proceed. Make you money at the high levels and support the social injustice.
