OKC can win all the games they want this year, they can even beat the season record of 73 wins in a season, it will ALL mean NOTHING if they don’t win the chip! It won’t matter!
Second game of a back-to-back, third game in four nights, Chet, J-Dub, Caruso, and Dort were out injured. OKC was up by 22 and ran out of gas in the 4th quarter and lost by two.
Pistons aren’t comparable. Pistons don’t have the bench to match OKC for the non SGA minutes. That’s ultimately where every loses if OKC hasn’t already ended the game in the first quarter. And if that doesn’t work you have to fight the whole game because of the defense.
You never get a break. You can’t double either. Ajay, Chet, JDub, SGA, Wiggins, and to a small degree IHart/Wallace can all create their own shot. That’s a lot of positions to cover and switch.
They havenβt gone against the Spursβ¦ everybody laughs at the Spurs and then we end up punching you in the mouth. Last night everybody thought the Spurs were gonna be light work but then we made the Lakers look dumb without Victor. Iβm not saying that weβre more dominant than just OK city blundersβ¦ but I think weβre more serious than people give us credit for
Th spurs the way they were smacking the lakers last night look like they could push Okc to 6/7 games in the western conference finals with a healthy Wemby

Today’s media will be criticized a lot by not pivoting from large market teams. It’s okc’s time and the coverage they’re given is pathetic!
