Wish they didn’t cut him off so much. Really wanted to hear him talk more. You never really get to hear him outside of announcing.

As much of a personality that he is, I think it was time for him to have retired. He had problems remembering peoples names and would have issues with calling out plays.

If there is an β€˜image’ of NBA to reflect on they are the players at the heightened moments captured in time capsule that made them great and made the game great.

If there is a symbol that represents NBA it is the Jerry West NBA logo made iconic by the great players of the game.

If we are to search for the sounds of the game or as Ernie Johnson put it the β€˜soundtrack of the NBA’ it is none other Marv Albert. His voice will transcends generations, decades of calling the most iconic moments, he is and will forever be the voice of the NBA.
Marv farewell and hope you find the same amount joy in your life doing other things. Peace.
