Well we’re seeing one of the reasons nobody wants the job. The finals are actively happening, the lakers haven’t played since may and they have been a topic of discussion everyday, literally every day. That’s a scrutiny nobody wants. Great job by the way from the network that had an issue with lebron saying words at the beginning of the finals but has spent this entire series talking about him and the lakers

These comments are hilarious. The Lakers were smart not to pay an unproven college coach albeit from a reputable basketball family $100M. They need a coach with the combination of a sharp basketball mind and unshakeable confidence to lead a storied franchise. I would argue none of the previous coaches outside of Pat Riley and Phil Jackson met those requirements. So good luck to Hurley in the pursuit of a 3rd national championship.
