This is crazy…..clearly the Lakers were poorly constructed because what was required from them to be a contender wasn’t there at all.
They have guys who were placed into positions that they’re inept to carry out. They did their best, but it was not good enough. Also, clearly, there was a reason why AD did not want to play the 5. So he was placed in a position that was not him. He tried his best, but that’s not where you want AD if you want the maximum out of him.
Apart from some good perimeter defenders, who are capable of knocking down shots from fhat distance, the Lakers need a point of attack kinda of guard. Donovan Mitchell is from that mold.
Get an athletic forward & guard that can induce the rim pressure style of play, plus a serious rim protector or a serious stretch 5…..along with AD and, to some extent, Lebron James, and a bet you any π° that the Lalers are going to the NBA finals. Do you wanna bet ? As long as there are no serious injuries….I feel my bet is guaranteed.

He had a strained calf, and his free agency is up after the season. You really think he was going to risk getting seriously hurt in that situation?

Spida should say NO. Don’t go to the Lakers to be Lebron’s “son”. That never works out well in that circus! He has his own team in Cleveland that’s a good team. Why leave?

May 16, 2024 at 11:42 pm
Lol, ESPN doing what they do best. Lakers arenβt even in play for D Mitch for a whole multitude of reasons that apparently they are too dumb to see π
@philb.1502
May 16, 2024 at 11:44 pm
No. If he leaves Cleveland, it would have to be an already established playoff team that can get to the finals with him as the missing link. The Spurs are a bad team.
@SquidysTents
May 17, 2024 at 12:34 am
Spurs? Who said spurs? Lol But since you mention it, I do think the spurs would be an amazing fit for D Mitch. He gets to play with and be the number one offensive option on a young team with a generational talent who needs a ball handler. Spurs would be an amazing option. Glad you suggested them lmao

Out of 29 teams in the NBA the Lakers is the only one can get Donovan Mitchell π€. So I guess the other teams don’t matter ?? Just like these so called basketball reporter to push the narrative

I think Mitchell stays another 2 more years with the Cavs. But eventually he will leave Cleveland for a big market team like the Knicks. Donβt think Mitchell goes to play with the Lakers

What are the odds of Lebrons age not effecting him. While AD also plays 70 games as well? Lakers are trash

The media fanboys are pushing this narrative about players teamming up,but yet these heartless modern-day players are supposed to be so great and better than past players. So call tv sport analysts fanboys want every top player to go play beside LeBron James whom some of these fanboys believe is the GOAT to play the game of basketball. He always needs help according to their opinions, but yet will ever he gets the help and fail it’s the other players fault. Man, today’s NBA PLAYERS are HEARTLESS and not COMPETITIVE at all. Man, somebody please tell these heartless, non-competitive players and their fanboys media goofys that the overseas players will be running the league in 5 years.

Lmao this comment section. The Lakers are one of the most popular and lucrative franchises in SPORTS. Itβs the same with the Yankees in baseball, Cowboys in football and the Blackhawks in hockey. Get over it.
