Jimmy was supposed to be the embodiment of Heat culture, what happened?? Heat didn’t want to pay their guy so now he wants out! Not a good look either ways. You were supposed to be the perfect match, but it always comes down to the money. Money talks!

LeBron left Miami to fix his reputation it helped Wade and Bosh were hurt. KD was traded to a team wanting a true reboot and Dame shot himself & the Heat in the foot and Portland wasn’t trading him to Miami regardless. Had Jimmy wanted a 2 year $50M extension, Pat would have given it and Jimmy would be making $48M this year, $52M next and then presumably $30M and $20M. Instead he wanted to be making $56M in 2027 and $60M in 2028 as a player who only plays 70% of the teams games and is declining.
Pats not wrong here regardless of what Stephen A thinks.

The Heat made concessions to Jimmy that no one else ever got and is under contract. I would not pay a part time, injury prone 35 y.o. that kind of money. Sorry, but it was good while it lasted!
