@broocewhane1142 Actually, it literally does mean that 😂 you can take as many steps as you want in between dribbles. And for the people saying its a carry that makes more sense than travel but imo most refs aren’t calling that but it kinda just depends on the ref tbh
Basketball is getting weak af. Everybody is so creative with the moves that it leaves no room for defense. How can anyone defend all these new travels, the carrying, the gather steps from half court, the European waltz etc. I sound old, but I miss REAL basketball. This new ish is 🗑. Its just all, “for the gram”.
No people found holes in the rulebook thats evolution now it singles out people who can really play defense vs people who just foul all the time because Jrue Holiday Alex Caruso and many other dont have problems playing defense without fouling now theres just a way bigger skill gap from because a person who plays good defense and a lockdown defender
@BasicHandle860 I’m a defensive player who never “fouled out”. These new moves make it near impossible to guard. That’s the point of the move indeed. That’s why game scores are now in the 100’s. Doesn’t negate it being trashketball.
@ Sounds like you cant adjust defensive rules were much more loose when it came to fouls now that you have to slide your feet time a pattern and your not able to just throw your weight into a person you cant play defense anymore
@BasicHandle860 lmao…it was never about throwing weight into a player and ALWAYS about moving your feet. Even with the best footwork, these new moves leave no room for 1 on 1 defense. Again, this is why scores are so high nowadays.
@@broocewhane1142 Explain the travel because you dont know the rules at all there was no palming no hand under the ball and he didnt stop his dribble so please enlighten everyone how this is a travel 😂
@@justifyop6805no need to look again. You can take as many steps as you want between live dribbles as long as you arent carrying or palming the ball. Travelling would be his dribble ending and him taking more than 2 steps.
@@YorkwayDaKid lots of need for you to look at it again, took 4 dribbles on a move off an iso triple threat, is going to be called a travel. taking as many steps between dribbles is almost always in transition or on a fast break going full speed, thats different. Absolutely you need to look at it again multiple times.
@justifyop6805 it’s not different read the rulebook. There is no “you can take as many steps but only on fastbreaks” rule. Again you can take as many steps as you want between live dribbles there is no grey area this isn’t a travel. Traveling is once his “live” dribble has stopped which would be his gather step in which he cannot take more than 2 steps. No need to look i know the rules and this isn’t a travel at any level of basketball. It’s not argument you are 100% wrong
I think its not about the hand under the ball, he takes 2 mini steps then another 2 mini steps unless they wanna call it gather steps again with that one but no he was already holding the ball after that dribble, he should not be holding ball after that dribble to take 2 steps THEN hold the ball take another 2 steps to call it a gather. Gets me
I see the first 2 steps and the 2nd 2 steps, the first is the normal like when you about to hezi. I get what everyone saying, but according to the rules, his dribble is still live you can take multiple steps.
Please someone send me to this rule book that says you can take more than two steps between dribbles. I looked this ish up myself and it clearly says anything more than two steps between dribbles is a traveling violation.
