Rachel Nichols, Matt Barnes and Zach Lowe react to a report that the Cleveland Cavaliers will work out Obi Toppin ahead of the 2020 NBA Draft, discuss the possibility of Indianapolis area native Gordon Hayward going to the Indiana Pacers, and debate what would have happened had the Oklahoma City Thunder kept James Harden alongside Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

what a joke these 3 idiots dont know why they traded harden that early, first of all they paid ibeka and (espn- local clown) Perkins large contracts which they were over the cap, so they decided to save and trade harden.
They traded him while they had a chance to, and got value out of it. Harden had a horrible finals that year, and the thunder werent guaranteed to get back to the finals with their system there. it was just 1on 1 ball isolation. the thunder outran and was more athletic than the spurs thats how they ended up beating them that year.
didnt mean they had any type of strategy.

Pacers have a legacy of grinding, I’d put them only behind the Pistons and Boston when talking about defensive teams I respect… All of them after Miami of course 😉
I just don’t see Hayward being a physical player. Granted, these past 2yrs have been REALLY ODD years for him and he was never on my radar until he jumped to Boston. I might be completely wrong but, from the gameplay I’ve seen, I don’t see him fitting into Indiana’s physical mindset.

the pacers issue has and will still be that they dont have a great passing PG. If they can get their hands on CP3 somehow and get rid of kemba that ensures at least a finals berth

I would’ve kept James and traded ibaka obviously. Duh.

Everyone is forgetting before Hayward was traded to the Celtics he was an All star who was a solid player on Utah and arguably the best player on the team.

Man if Hayward never got injured n those guys were able to gain more cohesion between em BOS couldve had a solid big 3 that capable of running the east for the next few yrs

Pacers trading for Hayward doesn’t really move the needle for them. They will still be a middle of the pack playoff team that loses in the first or second round. Especially if they give up Sabonis or Myles Turner to get him.
