Shaq was trying to motivate him. That’s just his style of doing it. Tough love, similar to Kobe, they’re gonna see your resolve by how you respond.

Shaq, your PhD failed you there.. next time, motivate him with a bit more tact than trying to rile him up. LOL

β€˜I wanted you to hear it’, it’s a respectful challenge to Donovan. You can see from Mitchell’s expression that he knows this and knows that Shaq wants him to take on the challenge. I think Mitchell understands because that’s what’s motivated him from the beginning. It’s not hating..

he doesnt need rebounds and assist numbers to go up. he just needs to keep being a killer when it comes to his scoring and commit to defense. if you are guarding close on your guy and force a bad shot you wont be in position to get the rebound.

This made me even more of a Donovan Mitchell fan! I’m with a lot of people here, if that was me after the night he had just to get asked to do an interview and be disrespected like that I would’ve taken the headset off and walked away but D Mitchell showed a lot of true character and class handling it like a man! You know he’ll remember that from Shaq!

He’s a G for taking on the chin and keeping it moving. He ain’t wrong. Lots of people still doubt players like Steph, Harden, Bron, KD, etc. and they continue to prove themselves.

Shaq needs to stop doing this. If Donovan doesn’t get to the next level he can say he was right, and if he does he can say he was motivating him.

”shak is just ONE BIG IDIOT..’ …He’s totally incapable of an intelligent, finese and humble conversation /interview wd the evolution of today’s basketball and wd the stars that makes the game exciting.

” Rodman was STILL a much better defender and player that he ever was…’
