Right after that stupid trade Kyrie got injured. You could argue if Luka stays , Kyrie doesnβt try to carry as much as the load , and the mavs repeat a finals appearance. This is actually the worst trade in modern history

He got used. Ownership wanted Luka in LA because they get way more $ from shared revenue. If Chicago is good this year Nba gonna bank. If I’m Charlotte or Atlanta, a team that needs serious help, I’m bringing him in. He did just build a finals team

As a Lakers fan, I still canβt believe or understand how this trade ever occurred. Itβs a blessing for Lakers fans but an absolute CRIME that the idiots in power pushed Luca, a top 5 generational talent out the door for a broken down AD (no shade, just facts).

Whether they intended for Nico to act as a scapegoat or not, this was a move that had to be done.
Dallas fans are rightfully pissed and short of getting Luka back somehow (or AD + Kyrie + Flagg somehow winning a ring this year), thereβs literally nothing they can do to fix the situation. They actually ran their whole business to the ground. Firing Nico was basically a necessary first step if they ever wanted to regain some sort of positive sentiment.
