A little too early and a little too late. It’s like Pippen getting drafted but in 1998 as a teenager. This is a potential franchise player not a sidekick.

Not as athletic but more passing and defensive upside possibly
Michael Hurt

@Brian Kyeah definitely not the next Rose. Or even close tbh
But if he buys in on defense — really buys in and swallows his ego — he could be Gary Payton or a better Jrue Holiday. If not, probably similar to Stephon Marbury

POR & LAL Trade to keep Dame in Portland
Portland gets Austin Reaves, Vanderbilt, LeBron James.
LA Lakers get Scoot Henderson, Shaedon Sharpe, salary cap players.

Scoot is certainly no Dame Dollar yet, but in time he could be an all-star guard.

September 26, 2023 at 11:42 pm
He easily has an all-star floor if he can attack the hoop more efficiently and consistently. He’ll easily get 25ppg just being ablet to drive at the hoop and draw fouls because he’s got a muscular frame to finish strong against bigs guarding the rim. But reaching top 10 player level like Dame has done with his overall offense is going to be a wait and see deal.

How did my Hornets fumble this soooo bad??!!? He was right there!

Too early to say they haven’t even played yet. Brandon Miller has a ceiling somewhere between MPJ and Jayson Tatum maybe close to Tatum level. There is a reason he went number 2 just wait until he adds some strength in the weight room and gains experience before judging him too harshly I would’ve taken Scoot but I don’t think they made a bad pick necessarily let’s see how it plays out

@Brian K i hate to say this I’m not big on miller potential wise. I hope im wrong

@Frank Murhonyi Yea well a bunch of ppl said Markelle Fultz had more potential than Jayson Tatum potential when they got drafted so we will see

September 26, 2023 at 11:51 pm
@Brian K Depends on who actually bought into Fultz to begin with. Ainge traded down his 1st pick to settle for the 3rd because the Lakers were set on Ball with the 2nd pick. And Ainge in some draft years has REALLY good eyes for the prospects where there is no real top consensus pick.

Lmao. You’re young aren’t you?
Chris Paul at 19 was just as quick as Scoot. Probably quicker honestly. And he could get up too.

@Mathew Davis you ever watch CP guard a center in the post? Lol. The guy is a fire hydrant.
I get what you’re saying though. But I think the difference is just aesthetic. Chris could get to the rim anytime he wanted when he was younger.
If Scoot finishes 34% of his shots at the rim like CP as a rookie I’ll actually be a little surprised.

Man, he’s going to be so so so much better than that Miller kid. It’s almost incomprehensible how the Hornets picked him over Scoot
