If they can push it to the limit on defense, they have a shot. If Mavs don’t come to play defense like their lives depend on it, this series will be over. The offense will come and Luka will probably keep being Luka Magic, but defense needs to be a PRIORITY.

Interested to see game 2. The final score doesn’t seem to match the way this game is being analyzed, although watching did feel like a Suns domination the entire time.

Game was a rigged piece of junk..refs targeted brunson from opening bell with 3 fouls in 3 mins and he was on the bench..lukka was hacked everytime at the time with no calls…sun’s should y hank Scott foster..head of rigged officiating

Only way Suns lose is if they get overconfident or injuries. They are just better than the Mavs, they’ve been better than the Mavs, they have no fear of Luka, they know he’s a great player but they’ve beaten him so many times he just doesn’t scare them. It comes down to other Mavs players and while they are good, after Luka the Suns have arguably the next best 4 players not to mention experience of a Finals run. They aren’t going to stop Ayton, they had trouble keeping Booker in front of them, Paul eats up inferior point guards (point guards on his level is another story), the bench, Bridges being everywhere on defense. Suns are just the better team from top to bottom, they have the experience, they have the confidence of last year’s Finals run plus the fact that they’ve beaten the Mavs 10 times in a row. Luka will play great but in a team game the Suns are the better team.

If Luka adapted a Draymond Green type off game it’d be a game changer. That’s why DA was the best pick for Phoenix. Hes not ball dominant but can still impact the game on both ends.
