Don’t blame youth for this loss. These guys are not new to the league and the Grizzlies are just as young anyways. Edwards is the only guy with no experience and he’s been their best player. Other guys are soft and that’s all it is
The reason for Kats lack luster play is that he’s a big that heavily relies on perimeter play without having the handle or playmaking ability of a Giannis. And with virtually no spots to pick or get to on the floor besides spotting up from 3 or the mid range, or facing up in the mid post, and no true post moves, it’s gonna be tough scoring in the playoffs. Also, the Grizzlies moved jj jr to center who is one of the most versatile defensive bigs in the entire league; it’s gonna be tough scoring in the playoffs for a player like kat. He needs to develop an effective and consistent hook or fade to take his game to the next level.
Kat is overhyped. He’s a good player but his attitude like most of these kids making million ruins everything. Pathetic and sad. Grow tf up. Take responsibility.
It’s more than just that— there are checks and balances within the group because of their histories as players. Shaq is an all-time great, but couldn’t hit free throws. Barkley is an all-time great, but didn’t win a title. Kenny was half a step above being a role player, but beat both of the other two on the way to his two rings. Barkley is super authentic and creative in ways few people are (on that set and in general). Shaq won four titles. Everyone has something on someone else.
I really liked phil jackson for not calling time outs, because it really did work for the lakers and charles barkley made a really good point. Kobe and shaq can work out a 16 – 20 deficit. Not every team has a kobe and shaq so letting them play through it isnt a great idea. Also like what kenny added. Perfect commentators
Memphis didn’t need to call a timeout, the referees did with the horrible calls. The refs should be investigated for aiding gamble over under. Ja Morant is who you talk about? That dude is the one you talk about and the future of the NBA? He has no body position control, he is on the ground every play. He got a foul after elbowing Patrick Beverly. I don’t want to hear Ja Morant is the best player. That whole game on both sides looked like a pick up park game.
