Kyrie is the best offensive player in the game…but because of KD’s height and length, KD scores easier because nobody can contest his jumper, a la Kareems skyhook. KYRIE HAS TO USE MORE CREATIVITY AND MANEUVER MORE TO GET HIS SHOT OFF BECAUSE OF HIS SMALL STATURE.

Itβs like saying Isaiah Thomas is the best scorer ever then
The Realist
April 14, 2022 at 10:01 pm
@Ton C …Isaiah had no jumper…KYRIE HAS ABSOLUTELY NO WEAKNESS ON OFFENSE, HE SCORES ON ALL THREE LEVELS…KYRIE HAS NO “GO TO” MOVE, HE SCORES FROM ANYWHEREπ€

@The reason why ? …and exactly what offensive weakness does Kyrie have…DO TELLπ€

He’s one of the best when he shows up. Which is contingent on the moon phase. Hard to really take the guy seriously when he’s missed 1/3 of the games in his career. Dude isn’t even old yet

Kyrie Irving will have nights like he just did against the Cavs. But realistically, can that sort of performance be reliably repeated in a seven game series? You need to win more than one game.
The Realist
April 14, 2022 at 5:29 pm
…well maybe you need to look at Kyrie’s stats for the entire year 27pts, 5reb & 5ast, on 48% fg…SO WHATS SO HARD ABOUT 34PTS AND 11ASTS DURING THE PLAYOFFS FOR A GUY NOBODY CAN GUARD ?
Richard Conway
April 14, 2022 at 7:37 pm
He averages 27 in the playoffs

April 14, 2022 at 5:02 pm
Because Kyrie hit one shot against the warriors? Give me a break. KD has done it too. I’d take KD any day over Kyrie for a last shot
Eh Moo
April 14, 2022 at 5:38 pm
Kyrieβs shot against warriors is top 2 clutches in history! KD shots against Cavs ainβt even top 200.

April 14, 2022 at 5:10 pm
My god Jay Will sounds like kyries lover. He make like this guys the best thing that ever happened to the game of basketball lol. Kyrie made some impossible shots against a mediocre Cavs team and Jay Will thinks he’s the best offensive player in the world over KD. Jay Will a prisoner of the moment smh.

They wont need them. The Nets will lose by a margin (even if close) that wont make the last shot useful.

The Nets not gonna lose

KD should take it 55% of the time
Kyrie should take it 15% of the time
Curry should take it 15% of the time
Harris should take it 15% of the time

Kyrie already addressed this. Kd can do the same things he can but is 7ft and can get his shot off easier.

I disagree with Legs on this one… There’s a chance, although it doesn’t happen often, that Kyrie’s shot can be blocked. Kyrie needs to create space to shoot – because a taller defender could (in theory) block his shot. Most players in the NBA are 6’6″ – 6’8″. That’s a good enough size to have a real chance at actually blocking someone’s jump shot – especially a PG. With KD – ain’t nobody — well, maybe 2, 3 guys in the league — blocking his shot (Giannis, Ben Simmons and maybe somebody else). So, Kyrie is taking the more difficult shots.

But I can’t π€ remember anyone blocking Kyrie’s shot!!

April 14, 2022 at 6:42 pm
I still would pick KD over Kyrie.

@Herbert Nelson, Jr. I’m not mad at ya’ for picking KD. Both are clutch!
250miles
April 14, 2022 at 7:17 pm
@Herbert Nelson, Jr. he last person that I remember seeing block his jump shot was Kobe – but, at that point, Kyrie picked up his dribble and was in the paint, I think. I’m sure it’s happened more than we realize. The NBA does keep track of how often your shot is blocked. But, again, he’s taking a more difficult shot than KD because of his size.

Kareem had the most unstoppable shot, but Jordan was the most unstoppable player…just as KD has the most unstoppable jumper because of his length, but Kyrie is the most unstoppable offensive player.
