A young man and girlfriend (both white) get into a fight/brandishing gun(s), and someone fires a weapon. The man runs from police at apparently 110+ miles/hour, leading to a 20mile+ police chase, where anyone in their path could have been collateral damage. That man gets a slap on the wrist and is out today, no jail-time, no fine (waived), and girlfriend never charged. YET, this man, who really didn’t appear to be posing a threat to anyone has his shirt pulled and is shot 7 times from behind. I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS MAN MAY HAVE A CRIMINAL RECORD, WAS RESISTING ARREST, BUT HONESTLY, IS SHOOTING A MAN IN THE BACK 7 TIMES REALLY THE ONLY ANSWER IN THIS ESCALATED SITUATION?!? REALLY?!?!? Again, I hang my head down and cry. AMERICA IS IN TROUBLE; THIS IS NOT OKAY! THE LAWYERS SHOULD DEMAND A NATIONWIDE INVESTIGATION INTO ALL POLICE OFFICERS, AND IF ANY ARE AFFILIATED WITH HATE GROUPS, SHOW ANY FORM OF DISCRIMINATION OF ANY KIND ON THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS, THEN THEY SHOULD BE PROPERLY DISCIPLINED, OR FIRED. PERIOD. AND, ALL EX-MILITARY SOLDIERS SERVING IN LAW ENFORCEMENT SHOULD GET MENTAL EVALUATIONS IMMEDIATELY BY INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS TO CONFIRM THEY ARE FIT FOR THE JOB AS A POLICE OFFICER. PERIOD.

THIS IS GOVERNOR’S OFFICES NOT DOING THEIR JOBS, SENATORS NOT DOING THEIR JOBS, POLICE CHIEFS ENCOURAGING THIS BEHAVIOR OR NOT DOING THEIR JOBS… THIS IS WHAT OCCURS WHEN EVERYONE WHO MUST BE INVOLVED IN AN ESCALATION PROCESS (FROM PHONE 911 OPERATORS, TO POLICE DEPARTMENT, TO CHIEF, TO OFFICERS) IS NOT DOING THEIR JOBS CORRECTLY. THIS SHOULDN’T BE ABOUT GETTING MORE DEMOCRATS IN OFFICE, OR MORE BLACK PEOPLE IN OFFICE. THIS SHOULD BE ABOUT GETTING THE RIGHT PEOPLE (REGARDLESS OF GENDER, RACE, RELIGION) IN THE POSITIONS WHO TRULY ARE EFFECTIVE IN UPHOLDING THE LETTER OF THE LAW.

What happened to Stun Guns,two or three officers on the scene almost arm length reach,no stun gun pulled,I say this again the problem is police only train up to six months before they get there certification and r put on the streets,barbers,beautitions,etc takes up to 2 yrs,don’t think that’s a problem???????

the only way that would be excusable is if he was reaching for a gun in that car. that being said its so irresponsible to blatantly disobey the police in front of your children no less. seeing the body cam footage of all the officers is the only way to truly determine what happened and who is more to blame

I think it is so sickening that the nba has to get involved in this. Wait a couple days before you respond to anything going on. Do I agree with him being shot. If the cops felt there life was at risk then I agree 100%. If he would of shot the police we would not of heard about this. He had a knife in his hand. The cops pointed there gun at the man for a good 30 seconds and did not shoot. The cops don’t know what he has in the car. If he had 3 kids in the car what is he thinking cops do not know that. A question for everybody against this. Why were they called in the first place? Someone had called about a domestic dispute, we don’t know what exactly why. Then the police find out he has a warrant out and that he has been in trouble with the law before and has had a gun in his car. All the man had to do was one thing LISTEN and go to jail. But he knew where he was going and did not want to go back to jail. He and he alone but his children at risk. People will protest for criminals but won’t for a cop who is killed in the riots.
Wake up nba or you are going to lose more fans then you already have.

Are they going to revise their statements tonight after the second video popped up where they tried to tackle him and he fought them off? Where the guy who shot it said he saw an officer deploy pepper spray? The stills that came out today that appear to show a knife-like object in his hands (the one everyone said he had which caused the call to 🚔 in the first place)? Police are not perfect and the justice system is one of many that need reform, like yesterday. But let’s have all the facts before 🔥 down cities and people’s lives.
