Last time a checked you can’t pivot after a step back since you’re technically taking 2 steps … that’s like going for a euro/ 2-step and then pivoting after … this is genuinely a travel only because he picked up his dribble off the step back tho 💯

You can ALWAYS pivot… you always have a pivot foot, unless you jump stomp or catch the ball with both feet on the ground, in which case you can choose which foot you want to be your pivot…

@CharcoalBlasterdoghe picked up the bal tho and took 2 steps backwards then decided to pivot with a step through … if that’s legal then I should be able to euro to the basket and cancel my euro after the second step to pivot … it’s basically the same thing which is technically a travel. If he was still dribbling of the step back then it’d be legal

@GoldMoufDvwg his pivot is entirely clean. you agreed he did a step back, and his left foot was his pivot foot. from there, he stepped with his right, entirely legal. he can pivot on his left and move his right foot wherever he wants.
the problem you have with the move is that he LIFTS his pivot foot to take the last step with his right. that’s not “pivoting after a step back” , thats taking an extra step after pivoting after a stepback
