No body wants to hear rich cats who get to do what they suppose to love complain about doing it. Plus they get 3 months off.soft is soft man. And they wonder why nobody is really watching the playoffs.

I feel like it’s lowkey ridiculous that players want a shorter season bc it’s rarely that physical today compared to the 80s or 90s. Very few teams other than the warriors and a few others have that much movement. Otherwise it’s usually an iso play for half the game. A ton of players had injuries this past 2 seasons because they had bad landings or bad habits when you think about it which could happen regardless. If you’re getting paid millions to play a game with massive training staffs, Medical staff, etc, you should be expected to continue to play the original 82 games. So many players this past season didn’t play bc of “injuries” that most ppl question are real.. Richard Jefferson I think had the best reaction to this.

A way better way to handle this is give the bench more playing time. I feel like in the past 10 years way too much time is given to the “stars” that you rarely get to see a bench player develop anymore. Look at the way the Lakers traded for stars instead of developing their bench and depth more.

For me personally this is not necessarily an nba problem more then the coaches not utilizing their bench a lot more because of how weak a lot of the benches are that they have in the NBA right now that speaks to player development and how that staff is doing it also speaks to how incompetent some of these coaches are and just play the big name players till they run them down to the ground 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ players are going to miss games regardless

JJ keeps looking worse every time he needs to talk about how much harder it is to play now. One guy handles the ball, penetrates, shoots floater or kicks to the corner. Stop it

I can’t believe any of the owners would want a shortened season, all that would do is cost them revenue.

Shorten the season but lengthen the postseason. Have all teams play all other teams twice then teams from the same conference once more. That’s 72 games. Then have a longer play-in tournament (maybe best of 7 also) involving the 9th to 12th seeds.

nah, we’re already good. lengthening postseason will reduce the izzat of the period, so ney ney. these players must fight and sacrifice everything to be a part of nba playoffs.

You’re past your physical prime after 26 yo, on top of just regular injuries that would happen if you drop the games to 10. They could limit the number of minutes a 25, 30, 35 yo can play, that would make more sense than going below the 82 games.

Every team plays every team 2 times. One home and one away game. Than have qualification games and round robins. to make it a total of 70 games.

It’s funny the NBA season is basically a free for all with barely any Defense, guys come in out of shape and they want to play less while getting paid More. Don’t ever compare these watered down players to any past era.

Nothing new. Pampered generation naturally produced pampered players. Each generation has benefitted from better nutrition, better education, better legal system, better pay, etc and yet they are asking for more breaks and more time off. Really disappointed with JJ and CJ takes. “Empowering” the next generation to be even softer.
